Logline: A desk-bound CIA analyst goes undercover to infiltrate a nuclear arms dealer.
Review: I have made a habit of not watching bad movies. As far as new films are concerned, I typically only see ones that are critically acclaimed. This brings me to Paul Feig’s Spy, an unfortunate miscalculation on my part. The film received generally positive reviews and was written and directed by the creator of one of my absolute favorite television shows, Freaks and Geeks. All of this led me to believe that Spy would at least be a solid film, if not a great one but sadly, this was not the case.
There a few laughs to be had but overall, the film is a complete disaster. It is over the top, overlong, and rather dumb. James Bond spoofs have be done countless times and this one is not unique. Simply put, Spy is one of the worst films I have seen in a long time.
